If you still have Christmas shopping to do, and you're looking for the perfect gift that will make your child jump for joy on Christmas day, then have a look at my top Christmas gifts below.

Nintendo Wii.

The Wii is the ultimate present on every child's wish list. Forget playstation and xbox, Nintendo have really cracked this one when it comes to the huge choice of games that are available. It brings families together, having fun and competing against each other. They've even thought of games for children to get them more active. And if you're an adult trying to get fit, you can workout with many fitness programmes including Wii Fit and Personal Trainer.

Games I can highly recommend are:

  • Family Ski and Snowboard (compatible with the Wii balance board).
  • Mario Kart, played with the wheel.
  • Sing It.
  • Cooking Mama 2.
  • Mario vs Sonic at the Winter Olympics.

Ben 10.

If you have a son around 7 to 10 years old, then they're probably into Ben 10. This cartoon is an American animated series shown on Cartoon Network. The story begins when Ben finds an alien pod called the Omnitrix, which permantly attachs itself to his wrist. He then finds he can transform into different aliens, each with their own powers. Ben 10 has become very popular in the UK this year - and most stores are stocking a variety of toys and gifts, from keyrings to alien figures and of course the Omnitrix. You can also get the games on the Wii and Nintendo DS.

Zhu Zhu Pets or Go Go Hamsters.

Zhu Zhu pets are probably one of the most wanted gifts this year. They are cute little robotic hamsters, which have different modes, including nurturing mode, adventure mode or sleep mode. The word Zhu Zhu is chinese, meaning 'little pig'.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers.

Bakugan is a Japanese action adventure cartoon shown on Cartoon Network. The game is played with Bakugan Brawlers and metal cards. The Brawlers are spring loaded, and open up when they land on a metal card. A whole range of accessories are available, including the Bakuclip, which stores three Brawlers, and is attached to your belt. A Bagurack which holds the Bakuclips and Brawlers. A launcher used to throw the Brawler. There are also many Brawlers and cards to collect, some which are rare. Aimed at boys 7 years and up.

My Little Sister Dolls.

These soft bodied dolls are around 60cm tall, and you can choose from Rosy, Roby and Roxanne. They have realistic faces and hair, so your little girl can brush and style the hair. There is a choice of outfits sold separately, which include nurse and air hostess outfit and fire fighter and pirate outfit. Something a bit different from the traditional baby doll.

FurReal Friends.

Any little girl that has always longed for a pet, will love these adorable, cuddly toys. These toys react in various ways. Filo Rollover Pup will roll over when his tummy is scratched, and make sounds. Zambi the Elephant will blow kisses and curl his trunk around your finger. You can even get a life-size Golden Retriever pup that will respond to your commands. Advances in technology just keeps growing for these types of toys.

Apple iPod touch.

A really cool device that brings everything together in one. You can  download music, play games, watch tv shows and movies, and surf the web. The iPod touch has a multitouch interface, built in wi-fi with Safari web browser, 3D graphics and an accelerometer, which responds to movement. This feature allows you to turn the device round, and the picture will move with you. You can also play games by just moving the device.
